Jeanette and Clive have both been keen Christians since their teens and have been happily married for 32 years. They have two daughters, Pippa and Rachel, both actively involved in the youth work of the church.
Clive is a very practical person, having worked in both engineering and business management. He has worked for several large companies in mortgages, investments and finance, utilising the best use of modern media and computers.
His last seven years of employment involved him in managing a small but successful house rental business. During this time he rediscovered how a Christian can minister through his work.
Both Jeanette and Clive have always been active in their local church - their call to church ministry came during their 14 year stay at a lively church in Dorset called "Chapel in the Valley" (Corfe Mullen Baptist Church). At that church they were actively involved with music ministry and Clive was a worship leader. Jeanette was heavily involved in setting up and running a Mums' and Toddlers' group.
When Clive and Jeanette, and the church began to recognise God's calling for church ministry, they faced the big decision of whether they could leave a lovely church, a lovely home and all their supportive family who lived locally, in order that Clive could be trained in a suitable college. Grateful thanks go to all those who helped them through those less than easy decisions.
Clive was trained at the South Wales Baptist college and the university in Cardiff and went on to recognition and ordination there. We were fortunate to welcome him into our hearts as our spiritual leader in 1999. Clive and Jeanette have been invaluable in the outreach to the community.
