some good ideas in the list. question is are they for entertainment of church members or for the purpose of spreading the gospel to the community. know this might sound a bit negative, not meant to be, but the thought came to me and i felt i would pass it on!
wish i could come up with lots of ideas but i'm not an ideas person sorry. what about some sort of gift to the households in the community - a new testament or open the church up for free tea and coffees for a week, sort of a geting to know us excercise.

Excellent comment which says to me that we have not communicated well enough to the church, let alone to the community, that the theme of the year is about reaching out to the community. The hope is to involve as much of the community as possible in as many of the events.
